Cost: $8 at the door, $6 for patrons who bring their own quad skates. $5 advanced tickets will be available at the merch table at the August 4th home bout at Grady Cole.
As a fan of the Charlotte Roller Girls, you may already be aware that CLTRG is a skater owned and run business. Skaters spend hours each week practicing their sport in a sweltering hot or tundra cold warehouse, performing volunteer work to run the league, or participating in various events around the Queen City to interact with fans or raise awareness for important causes.
The Charlotte Roller Girls is a business – and it takes money to run a business. Our costs come in the form of rent for our practice space, insurance, buying training equipment, and especially subsidizing the costs of travelling to away bouts so skaters aren’t personally on the hook for it all.
So far in 2012 the Charlotte Roller Girls have travelled roughly 3961 miles up and down the east coast of the United States for the love of their sport. On October 6th, The All Stars are scheduled to take their longest trip yet, travelling nearly 700 miles to Ithaca, New York to take on the Ithaca League of Women Rollers – they need your help to get there.
On Saturday August 11th the Charlotte Roller Girls would like to invite you to an 80s Roller Disco themed bash at The Breakfast Club with proceeds going to the CLTRG travel fund. The cover at the door is $8 or $6 for anyone who brings their own quad skates for an opportunity to skate alongside your favorite roller girl. The event will start at 8:30 PM with the open skate continuing until 11:30 PM.
The Charlotte Roller Girls will also be selling discounted advance tickets for $5 at the official CLTRG merchandise booth at their next home bout on August 4th at Grady Cole.
