Remember the 80s – the birth of MTV, Hammer time and the Goonies? Well, pull out your neon clothing, your cherished New Kids on the Block shirt (don’t be ashamed, we were all there once) and the hair spray and join us! This Saturday, August 11, the Charlotte Roller Girls host a night of 80s jams and roller disco shredding at The Breakfast Club from 8:30pm – 11:30pm. Cost at the door is $8, or $6 for those patrons who bring their own quad skates.
Proceeds for this event will go towards the CLTRG travel fund. As a skater owned and run league, the Charlotte Roller Girls foot all their bills, including travel expenses as they travel up and down the East Coast to take on rival derby leagues. Help your favorite roller girls on their road to East Coast derby domination. It will be totally tubular! Like, for sure!
