The Charlotte Roller Girls Announce RAIN as 2013 Community Partner

rainlogoWe are proud to announce our 2013 partnership with the Regional AIDS Interfaith Network (RAIN). We are joining forces to transform lives and promote respect and dignity for all those touched by HIV through compassionate care, education and leadership development.

In addition to hands-on volunteering, CLTRG will offer financial support by donating a portion of 2013 bout proceeds. So when you buy a season pass or tickets to a bout, know that you are also giving back to the community!

“I have personally volunteered with RAIN for nine years,” said skater and director of promotion Caitin ‘Rita Maneata’ Snead. “I am excited to share my passion for RAIN’s compassionate mission with my team and our fans.”

We are excited to be participating in RAIN’s 2013 AIDS WALK on May 4. We encourage fans to join us at the event or donate to our team. AIDS WALK Charlotte is the largest HIV/AIDS awareness and fundraising event in the Carolinas. A two mile walk through Charlotte’s historic Fourth Ward is a visual representation of our community’s commitment to and compassion for those impacted by HIV and AIDS.

“We are looking forward to an exciting year working with the Charlotte Roller Girls,” said
Nathan Smith, director of development and marketing for RAIN. “They are already well
on their way to being one of the most energized fundraisers for our upcoming AIDS
WALK on May 4.”

Opportunities to donate to RAIN will also be available at all of CLTRG 2013 home bouts.
