Katch Her in the Rye is a name my dad came up with for me because:

*Catcher in the Rye is a favorite novel of mine.
*I was a catcher when I played softball.
*Rye is the nickname people have for me because of my last name.

It just sort of fit:-)

Favorite Derby Memory:
I had to negotiate with my family and give up some vacation time with them so I could attend both days of assessments in June. I drove over 530 miles for Day 2 of assessments. It was awesome to pass assessments that night, alongside my derby wife. My family, still on vacation, waited up to hear the news.

Talents/Hobbies:
Searching for 4-leaf clovers, playing softball, star gazing, stamp collecting, reading, learning anything I can about the Titanic, and following my Pittsburgh sports teams (particularly the Penguins).

Many say I remind them of the "National Geographic lady" because of my dark skin, dark hair, and green eyes.
